Suddenly the professor ran into the hall screaming ... help!! help!!! ... my daughter was abducted by Canna Boyle and his ruthless band of pirates .... and then like a shot, he took off out of the hall and headed towards the water in search of some clue ... We were told to search for a book and a map and once found the service of a professional THunter would be needed to decode the map and dig up the next clue...
Once the map location was found we realized that the monsters guarding each of the map clue chests would fight to the death to maintain the security of their secrets ....
with diligent precision THunters like Chalnoth Tholl, Reina Raven, Ezri OceanBreeze, and Diamond decoded each of the map clues found and with mastery unlocked the secured chest ...
each location proved harder than the last but the courage of the rescuers was unwavering!
Then it happened ... the group discovered the escape vessel of Canna Boyle.... could Maiah be saved? ...
Instantly anyone within feet of the diabolical Boyle was hit with deadly poison ... the fierce battle began ...
warriors tried their best with weapons, summons, and pets but nothing seemed to weaken the powerful Lich .... the summoned only seemed to heal him and the strong animals seemed to only make him stronger ...
and those with weapons and spells seemed to fall as fast as they could wield any damage...
A call rang out among the group .... stop summoning! .. don't use pets! .... he is able to take advantage of those ... use fire, use necromancy!!
Slowly the evil one became weaker ... slowly all his minions began to go down ... and at last it was over. Among the fallen enemies was a Chief Paroxysmus!!
Once everyone had recouped and breathed a sigh of relief it was sad to hear that the efforts of saving Maiah was lost but the Professor was thankful that he had been given the chance to see her one last time and that we had saved her immortal soul.
We headed off to the Player Reward Hall to discuss the efforts and discovered that two of the Thunters had presented items earned during the battle. The beautiful lute of Lolo to remind us of the sweet sounds of Maiah's last words to her father and the Candelabra of Souls which represented her spirit and to help lighten the way in all our future days.
