Lo and Behold the Junk

Postby Vin Decatur » Thu Nov 29, 2007 3:47 pm

The Gods looked upon Sosaria and were not happy.
"Let there be more junk." the Gods spoke.
And more junk was given to the Dark Fathers.
Over the lands the people rejoiced with a mighty, "WOOT!"
The Gods saw that this was good and patted themselves fiercely upon their backs.

Word of the wondrous deeds the Gods had bestowed upon the people reached Sonoma.
The good and just leader of the peoples, King David, didst ponder this wondrous thing.
"Lo, my subjects dost deserveth more junk!" he decreed.
Word was spread across the land for the people to meet and gather junk.
"Woot!" the people rejoiced.

------------------------

I spread some old junk of mine across the square as we gathered.
From far and wide, the Brothers and Sisters of PAS and their valiant allies did arrive.
We divided ourselves into parties and King David led us to the Gauntlet.
The Gauntlet, land of the Dark Fathers.
Also, home to the wondrous junk known as 'Arties'.
On the Gauntlet beach we met a large group of people holding off an assault by a Dark Father.
The People's Army, seeing their fellow Sonoman's in plight, did charge into the fray.
The Dark Father yelled "Oh Crap!".
At least I am sure that was what he was thinking just before he expired.

We proceeded down a long corridor and entered a cavernous room.
The room was crowded with various warriors fighting the Dark Fathers.
People from COP, MOO, MOFO, SM and others were engaged in a fateful struggle.
For the Dark Fathers liked their arties and truly wanted to keep them.
King David, seeing the greediness in the evil Dark Fathers ordered us to attack.
PAS raced headlong into the fray, again.

I, still just Adept, picked a Dark Father and swore him as my Enemy of One.
Like my Brothers and Sisters, I charged.
Immediately, I realized that using the correct slayer weapon makes a significant difference!
Much to my suprise, I actually did some damage!
Not suprising at all, the Drak Father did bestow upon me a nice amount of damage.
I fell back to heal but found myself in ghost form.
I was quickly rezzed and went on a trek to find my horse MissFortune.
(As in, it is her misfortune to belong to me.)
I found her nearby and charged back into the fray.
The Dark Father fell and the people rejoiced.

The friends and family of the late Dark Father were not rejoicing.
A horde of them did attack the valiant band trying to free the poor innocent Arties from enslavement.
The battle was long and bloody.
Many times (eight I think) I was slain by the wicked Dark Fathers and their minion.
Three times MissFortune was killed.
Each time, we were picked up by our Brothers and Sisters.
We were gently healed of our wounds and tossed back into combat.
Once, my brother, Majisbane, Jr. didst ask for a rez.
Sadly, I am newbth and canst not rez. Heck, I barely can heal!
Thankfully, another did spy Majisbane's plight and tossed him a rez.
Verily I say unto you, we didst slay many of the vile Dark Fathers.
Eventhough we were given substantial numbers of dirt naps, the Dark Fathers fell in larger numbers and much junk was dispersed to the people.
Long hereafter people will speak of the day when Sonoma didst rise against the Dark Fathers.
When the people didst free many Arties from the grips of their inhuman masters.
Yay, they will speak of the day when Vin didst receice....

Nothing.

And so it was.

Amen.

No. I won't be doing this everyday. The stories may come fast over the next week or two but then I'll slow down.

And as an aside, raconteuring and arties don't mix so don't take this as a 'poor me' story. I had a great time and look forward to doing it again.

OH!!!!! Someone replied to my MARCO during one of the lulls in the fight!
WOOT!!!!!
