Amonos paced back and forth as the scout reported.

Sir we have been watching for the Alchemist as you requested. We have seen no sign of him. We have noticed many others in the woods. They too seem to be looking for same man. I do not think they are Daniel’s people. They are sloppy and often do not cover their tracks. They seem to be up to something devious. They are always watching.

Amonos nodded and spoke. I fear that we may be spied upon. We must outsmart them. Meet me in the room where the tunnel from Serp’s hold will lead. You know where it is!
