AUCTIONS ARE BACK

Postby Chalnoth Tholl » Sun Nov 15, 2009 11:37 am

Hello Everyone,

I am very pleased to announce that the PAS Auction House will hold its first Auction, under new management :lol:, on Saturday December 5th. Auction will be held during the normal event time. I want to thank Queen Mum for the wonderful renovation. She has provided us with seating for 88 guests in a great PAS green motif!

Public Sale/Private Donations:
The Auction will be open to the public; however, sale items will be accepted only from Alliance Members. It has been quite a while since we have had an auction, so to allow maximum participation; I am asking sellers to limit their sale to one (1) item (set, etc) per account with an alliance member. I will include 25 items on the block for this event. I will be accepting items for sale starting Monday Nov 16th. Look for Karn 30 minutes prior to event time.

HOW IT WORKS:
 Seller sets the Reserve Price (Starting bid);
 Items will be sold to the highest bidder and delivered on the spot;
 Items not bid upon at opening price will be returned to seller. If present, the seller may opt to lower opening bid;
 There is a 2% “commission” on all sales, paid to the PAS Treasury;
 Proceeds will be delivered (less commission) to the seller beginning Sunday. Best time will be 30 minutes prior to event time.

SALE ITEM PREP:
Item(s) must be placed in a bag, pouch or backpack;
A book must be included with the following information:
 Title-Item for Sale;
 Name of Seller (Character you want proceeds delivered to);
 ICQ of Seller;
 Reserve Price (Opening Bid);
 Brief Description (Only needed if not evident, such as 100% LRC with 40% LMC suit, etc.)

VOLUNTEERS:
I believe I have the basics covered. Sally was been drafted to drop books and Jo will assist day of sale behind the counter. I will need one volunteer to pop gates from Luna prior to start time. I will need 1-2 Elders (who can be or are co-owned) to act as Master-at-Arms during the event.

I think :?: scratches head :?: that’s it. I am looking forward to this first auction and more to follow. If you have ideas for auction themes or other suggestions I would love to hear them. Thinking about a “Re-Gifting Auction” after Christmas. Take care and PLAY ON!

The crafters house has a lot of red leaves for sealing books and we collected them for auctions so catch someone on and be sure to get what ever you need.

Glad to hear the auctions are back. I love them. With auctions, I can sit down and shop. Only my wallet hurts, not my feet. Ariel Joy
