Thank you so much. This is my 40th and Brig's is on June 3 (his 50th). Not sure yet what we are going to do to celebrate it. Anyone have any ideas?

40th and 50th? Those sound important. But then, I don't really do birthday parties for me or even anything special, I reserve that for my kids.

So I don't know how much you want to do or what you can afford. Going from the really low end to the higher end, you could do any one or a combination of any of the following:
1) simply go for ice cream
2) dinner and a movie "birthday date"
3) "over the hill party" complete with the black balloons and themed cake and all
4) buying gifts for one another
5) take a road trip to somewhere you've wanted to go for a while
6) take a vacation

Just a few ideas
