I have thought about adding spellweaving to my necro/mage but haven't yet. The main benefit would be for peerless fights, so can goto wraith mode and leech mana back when doing Word of Death. I have used equipment to get enough necro to go to wraith on just my mage/spellweaver then put normal equipment back on. And being able to do non-stop Word of Death without using any mana is a great thing! The amount of mana leeched back is based on spirit speak so my mage/spellweaver has 50 spirit speak but no natural necro.
I have a nox/necro/mage that I just took the nox (poisoning) off of and was going to see if I can make room for spellweaving. Since I have limited funds my necro won't have too many powerscrolls for now but the template is looking like it will be:
Eval - 110
Magery - 110 (100 with +10 book when I need to cast EV, slayer book when casting flamestrikes after corpseskin target)
Meditation - 110
Necromancy - 115 (105 with bloodwood spirit)
Resist - 110
Spirit Speak - 110 - (100 with bloodwood spirit)
Spellweaving - 110
I will either have to drop meditation to 80 or find some decent FCR/FC jewelry with + skills. The necro can have benefits from summoned wisp or being in Lich, Vampire or Wraith form to aid in regenerating Mana so (my opinion) Meditation is the least important of the skills on that template. In wraith form doing mass damage spells like earthquake or meteor storm or doing huge damage like using slayer book or casting WoD you will leech back more mana than you use. Only drawback is not being able to run too fast if things get out of control. But that is the template I am working on, have most done but haven't started the spellweaving yet.
