Getting a Robe

Postby Endrik » Wed Apr 09, 2008 11:29 am

Perhaps I have missed it in a previous post, but could somebody explain to me how you are getting these robes from the Shadow lords? I know a few people have mentioned that you can use a piece of blackrock, but I have no idea how you use it. I brief tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have got several robes, only a few have I used blackrock, its the top three that do the most damage on the shadowlord that are given the robe/cloak.

If you have a piece of Blackrock, try to use it when there is no to little damage on the shaowlord but saying "Vas Kal An Mani In Corp Hur Tym" with the rock in your pack as close as possible to the shaowlord.

Technically you don't have to use blackrock to get a robe, it just helps. Robes are given to the top 3 damagers. The blackrock helps because it does ,I believe, 50% of remaining hit points. The way it is used is to run close to the Shadowlord with a piece of blackrock in your pack and say the words to the Armegeddon spell (quoted below). So if you are first to cast the spell on a fresh Shadowlord you instantly do 50% damage which should guarantee you a robe. So basically the first 3 people to cast it will be the top damagers but will need to be able to kill it. (1st does 50% damage, 2nd does 25% and 3rd does 12.5% damage) So after 3 casts the Shadowlord is down to 12.5% health in a matter of seconds, but if aren't in a group that can help you kill it then you may find some people will stop attacking it as they know they aren't going to get a robe so they figure why bother.

Awesome this helps a lot ty! One more question... Do I have to have Magery to invoke that spell and ignite the blackrock, or can any character class do it?

Any character can cast it against the Shadowlord. The character I used had 0 magery and it worked fine, you won't even fizzle. Outside the rift, if you want to cast it and blow yourself up then you still need magery and also to put the rock on the ground.
