Yeah I have the same question. I mined ALL DAY SUNDAY and got zip. I mined in tram/fel caves, mountain sides, using Garg Axes, sturdy shovels, etc.

Someone please tell me the combo to open the blackrock safe!!

dont help the fact that they made it harder to mine it, unless it is tied in with the mining gems you get i dont see how you get one, tried in tram and fel, got more gems in tram than fel

hahaha, have to have blackrock to mine blackrock. I love how games mirror life. Want to borrow money from a bank, you have to have money, want a job you have to have experience (which isn't easy without the job).. Don't know if the rumor is true, but it makes me laugh thinking about it. :lol:

I think I kept a 4 stone piece somewhere in the clutter I call a house. Now just have to convince the boss to let me have a day off so I can go mining. Can see the look on his face now when I submit the vacation request reason "must mine blackrock to trade, classification family emergency"

i mined for several hours, GM miner, with blackrock in pack, pulled about 5k+ ingots, not considering failin on some attempts to smelt, and only 5 gems total with no blackrock

I have no clue how many hours I've mined and I have no clue how much ore I've smelted But I do know that I have a total of 124 gems and not a single piece of blackrock (besides the one I bought to mine with). Do you have to have your shovel set to stone?? or will ore only work? (Cause I hate having to remove the stones)

Could an expereinced person please check stratics and see what they have to say about mining black rock. I have no patients for stratics (cause there web site is too damn jumbled)

Nothing exists on Stratics to that effect.

I don't read Stratics forums, so I can't say about the Stratics forums...just the uo.stratics.com webpages.

While blackrock has been found in small amounts anywhere that ore can be mined, it requires utmost skill to extract it in usable amounts. Only a Grandmaster Miner would have the skill to retrieve blackrock from ordinary ore veins. Also, beware - mining blackrock is a dangerous profession, as Blackrock Elementals are often attracted to the area...
