A friend gave me a gold hammer last night so I could attempt to make myself a nice spell channel NO penalty warfork.

What kind of ore do I use with this hammer? does it matter? do certain ores have certain properties? I have a 120 smith and that's the extent of my knowledge on the subject, heh.

each ore has a different spread among what type of damage a weapon does. Valorite has the biggest spread were as regular iron just does 100% physical. I'll send ya the link when I get home.

Just use iron, man...you don't get any bonuses with other ore types other than damage type. Most pvpers will be all 70s anyway, and as long as you use consecrate weapon you'll do 100% damage in their weakest elemental resist anyway. And damage type also makes no difference in armor ignores either.

I am not really using this weapon for hitting, it's for mostly defense when casting and for disarming.

I might use shadow ore, just because I'd like my warfork to look black.

That will narrow it down a BUNCH, it's likely you may get two war forks from a gold hammer that will give you SC no pen, but you may not like the other mods. It'd almost be better if you just try to get a good one as loot and save the hammer for a melee char weapon, just so you have more choices as to what you can go with.

Probably something that drops level 6 chests. I'd recommend titans. They're the easiest of the level 6 dropping monsters, in my opinion.
