After the rate increase, I will also be looking at the vendors again ... DAILY ... to make sure they are decently stocked. There are alot of vendors there with less than a dozen items on them. That's not "decently stocked".
This hurts EVERY vendor owner at my shop when potential customers browse multiple vendors at the shop and find them empty or nearly empty. People stop coming to shop there because they get tired of finding nothing to buy. And if you name your vendor "ingredients", for example, and customers look for ingredients on it and find everything BUT "ingredients", the customers become
ed with the entire shop over things like that too.
So we're doing a whole new set of rules from now on. I will be looking at the vendors daily. Read the following carefully.
- If your vendor goes three days without being decently stocked, I will send you an icq and post here on the PAS board in case your icq isn't working for some reason. If the vendor is not stocked properly within 48 hours of me sending you an icq warning, it will be cancelled. That's FIVE days of customers looking at a bad vendor.
- If you have received ONE icq warning about your vendor, the second time I see it's not being stocked, I will send another icq which will simply say "your vendor has been cancelled."
- If your vendor name says you have something stocked that isn't on your vendor, I will treat your vendor as if it's not stocked decently. Read the above notes to see what my procedure will be. If you name it "jackal's collar", be sure to CHECK it DAILY and change the name when that collar has sold.
- If your vendor goes ONE day with zero items on it, I will NOT send an icq, nor will I post here. I will simply cancel the vendor.
- If my rules won't work for you, please cancel your vendor now. =)
This is being done because I was constantly having to nag people to stock their vendors and it got OLD quickly. I lost interest in my own shop because of the constant nagging I was doing and the empty vendors I was seeing when I'd go there. I'm not going through that aggravation again. I'd rather have 10 full and nicely stocked vendors at my shop than to have 30 vendors that are ... lame ... at best. Yes, this is a game and gaming should be fun, but don't take a vendor spot if you can't commit the time to keeping it STOCKED. And it's not MY responsibility to remind the vendor owners.
To those that have kept their vendors stocked all this time, and you folks know who you are, THANK YOU. =)
Anyone need a vendor spot that doesn't have one? Read the rules in this post carefully, then icq me at 200550687. =)
