A couple of (probably dumb) questions:

1) Why is it that I have to submit my messages as much as a dozen times before it gets accepted? It always says "Invalid session. Please submit again"......or something like that.

2) What time zone is the calendar event times in? For example, my calendar shows the Red Bone Farming event is at 9:00 pm tonight. What time zone is that? I have my preferences set for Eastern time and was wondering if it automatically changes listed times to my time or if I have to add an hour or more to get it right for me. (Well, that was kind of a rambling question, wasn't it.) I have a bear of a time with UTC time....no pun intended.

3) Okay, I thought of another one. Why do the dates never show the day (ie: Dec 31.) It always just shows "Dec" for me.

I can only answer question 2. The events are listed in Central time. Normal events would be 8PM Central time. You are seeing them in your time zone--Eastern, at the correct time, I believe. You can change the time in your profile if you want, and that has probably been done if you set your preference for Eastern time. :)

I'm not sure what reference you are making to dates. My calendar shows the date, December 30.

As for the messages, that happens to me sometimes. If I'm making a long post I sometimes type it up and save it in a copy and paste form in case my whole message gets rejected.

1. Weird, hadnt heard that specific error, but it might be a timing issue. If I start a post, decide to play or get sidetracked for awhile, it will tell me a slightly different error and the post never gets made *shrugs*.

2. Yes, if you click profiles at the top menu, then preferences, one of the boxes says UTC- some number of hrs. Mine is set to UTC-6 for cdt here in Texas. I would expect est would be UTC -5? then click synchronize button to the right of that, and it SHOULD fix your calendar times. it will still show "8 Red Bone Farming" for example, but thats because I entered the description as text, including the "8" at the beginning.

3. Yes, mine shows Mon 29 Dec 2008 for tonights event on the calendar. One question .. how many days does your calendar show? Mine starts on Sunday and goes thru Saturday. Its possible that your browser setting is shrinking the text and dropping some details as it compresses the calendar across your screen.

Hope some of this helps.

Thanks, you two. What I meant about the date just showing the month (I should have been more specific) was the dates on these posts. It just shows Dec. No biggy, just curious. :?

I see the post as December 29. I don't know why your screen doesn't show the date, Maldar.

I hope you got added to PAS? I sent you an icq request , to authorize Lavendar/Ciara of PAS. Hope to see you soon in game. :)

I know what you are talking about, mine used to do that long ago and drove me mad.

I believe (been a while) the fix is go into your profile then preferences - internationalization (thank goodness for spellcheck, I love you firefox!) :)

Then the date format listed there, I "THINK" mine was already set to custom but the parameters it listed were messed up. So you could try changing it to one of the other pre-defined. What I did was leave it on custom and change the parameters to:

g:i a D, M d

Hope that helps..

Ash
