I played with Judas (my father) and he failed miserably, my sister actually guessed the song & composer of my newest challenge....

So!

The song I am playing for my high schools end of the year concert, I want to see if anyone can guess with the same clues I gave Judas.

1) The March is one of the most known marches around.
2) The composer wore white gloves, but never wore the same pair twice!
3) This march has a 31 measure feature that is played by a piccolo, which I am playing.
4) This march is very popular around fourth of July, meaning it's very patriotic.

Can you guess the composer and the song???
Hope fully I can get the feature down, because it's only me playing it...

haha yeppers :]
That deathly piccolo solo is mine :[
My band director is in love with that march!!!
And sadly, I am the only flutist in my school who knows how to play piccolo...

Judas kept guessing other marches, none of which Sousa made, I believe.

But yes, Drakelord you are correct!!! Maybe We can video tape the performance and I'll post it here :]

Or if you're in NC around Charlotte area around June, lemme know and I can give you directions hehe

20 years U.S. Army, we heard it at every parade. So we know it very well. Love to see the Video.

The concert is scheduled for June 2nd.
Ms. Davis, the band director announced that today during class.
After the big speech about selling chocolate candy bars.

We're preforming three pieces *I think* (If you happen to be in the area)

Vesuvius - Frank Ticheli

Stars and Stripes forever - John Phillip Sousa
(A piccolo trio performed by myself; Ms. Davis, our band director; and Mrs. Ferguson, the Middle School and director)

Electricity - Unknown composer atm
Electricity will feature musicality and movement within the band, also the sound of a horrible electrical storm. Currently this piece is on back order and we're hoping to get it before the concert.

Hopefully I can get a recording off all three pieces. Each one has excellent musicality behind it and awesome effects.
