I have a Blighted Cotton plant locked down on the roof of one of my homes amongst my rares collection. I have no memory of when/where I got this. I thought they all had countdown timers. Anyone know?

It spawns down in the area where we gather dreadhorn keys, in the twisted weald in Ilshinar. It actually is one of the keys to doing that Peerless hunt.

Ah. Then they don't all have countdown timers? I didn't think I could lock them down.
Thanks Ciara.

Don't know if it's still bugged or not, probably not.
For a while when ML came out, if you locked blighted cotton down or dropped it in a secure container, the timer disappeared. If they did fix that, then the item is probably rather rare...however it was gained from exploiting a bug.
In practice, it's no different from any other blighted cotton.

If it is a bug. Do not get caught with it. Your fault or not they will ban you, even if you call just to find out. It has happened before. In short, do not be calling a GM to try to find out if it is an illegal item. Maybe put it as a five on Friday question?

Or just use it next time you run dread horn, instead of letting it go to waste.

A lot of us have them--never had a problem. Not to say you couldn't , but I wouldn't report it, just leave it locked down.
