Iron Beetle Scales

Okay, so I am trying to do the next tier of quests and I need 10 undamaged Iron Beetle scales (probably a lot more of them for future quests.) First, I know they are near Navery what's-his-face in The Abyss, but what I don't know is:

A) Where is that in The Abyss?
B) Is it highly dangerous alone?
C) Is it hard to get to?
D) How do I make sure that the scales aren't going to be damaged?
E) (I sure wish some vendor in Luna would simply sell these scales.)

A) not in the abyss, in the Underworld, entered from Fire Island,

B) Pretty dangerous if it's your first time there.

C) Not too bad if you take the secret door to the right of the underworld entry.

D) dunno

Enter the Underworld and go as if you were going to enter the Abyss using the spiral stairs within the Underworld. Go to the right past the Abyss Entrance and make a hard right across the bridge. This takes you toward the gray Goblin area. Go to the stairs in front of Undead area, amke a left up thos staors. head back and go through the BROKEN WALL. Watch out for the Wolf spiders, they are fast and they definitely bite! Once through the Cracked wall go left follow the wall go right then a quick left. At the end of this hall to the right is the Fountain (toss lucky coin if you got one). Turn Left at the fountain and you will run into the beetle area. 3-4 spawn here with some wolf spiders and a blood El.
