I am new to the thieving skills, but am interested in obtaining some of the Doom stealables. how do you actually do it? Are the items on monsters, in chests, or lying on the ground?

Im sure the PAS bloodthirsty thieves *smiles* will confirm, but my understanding is that they just appear ingame (spawn), on tables, on the ground, wherever each is set to appear, but u cant pick them up. You have to use the steal icon and target the item to try to get it. Some folks like to keep track of exactly when the big stuff spawns, and camp out the place inviso so they can try to steal it the second it spawns.

Aha, thank you. And I see that the respawn rate on the gladiator's collar is 4 months!!! Well, I guess it won't hurt to try. It sure would be nice to get one of them. I see them for sale for 37M on Atlantic.

correct, it does just spawn on the ground/walls/tables. the easy way to ID it is to (i think) control+shift to show the names of everything around and if it can be stolen it will show up on the screen like any monster.

there you go, check that page out. once you know where they are, you'll see them if they're there.
I used to have piles of them, well, the less rare like skull candles and such.
And don't forget the Tokuno rares.

I've been out for a while, did they ever add more rares? I remember a post about some changes, maybe adding more.

the biggest rare they added since you have been away Tevvin is the dreaded Machine Gun Tevvin. They almost NEVER spawn. In addition to being cool deco, they add 500% damage against Kings ingame.
