I will be going to DragonCon this year. Does anyone know if anyone else in PAS will be there? Would be cool to meet some more people. It's this weekend.

what city/state is it in? That might convince some folks that live nearby to go to it.

It is 120 to get into the convention? Hard to understand what they are saying about it. That is a membership? It looks like ti starts tomorrow.

It's 120 for a 4 day pass. 75 for a three day pass for Saturday Sunday and Monday (The days I'll be attending). Held in downtown Atlanta, GA at the Hyatt, Marriott and 3 other nearby hotels. The con consists of programming for Science Fiction fans, Computer geeks like me, Gamers like all of us, including a whole program of events just for MMORPGers, Anime fans, and more. I hope to meet some of you there.

*edit* you do NOT have to buy passes in advance. They're sold at the door. That's where I'll be buying.

you may as well forget it though. i'm not even sure i'm going anymore. Everything in my life just went to doodoo as always before dragoncon, so now i may just rot in my bed all weekend instead. Hope no one made plans on my account.

What happened?

I almost had to pay a huge chunk of money to my mother, but it looks like I dodged a bullet. I will still be going, although it's not looking like anyone else here is. Oh well. If anyone ends up making last minute plans to go you can all get a hold of me on AIM, MSN or with email. I'll put my info in the Tavern.

If you do we'll arrange from then where/how to meet and hang out for a bit! GOOD TIMES!

Given more time to plan it I might have. Central Florida is within stabbing distance. Still a half day travel though, so maybe some other time.

Still three days of the con left! Plenty of time for a trip up. I'll go next year too hopefully, though. I'll try to remember to come on here and convince as many UO people as possible to come along.
