I logged in 35 chars yesterday, and I received only 5 compassion dyes among them.

All chars are over 30 days, none on "new accounts", and some chars that I play a lot received none, while 2 chars that I rarely login received dyes in their backpacks.

The uo.com site said all chars over 30 days and not on a new acct should receive them.

Anyone else having this sorta luck?

Its one dye per account per shard .... and the dyes are one charge ... so whichever character you first log into on a shard receives the dye (as long as the character follows the other guidelines .. age .. etc)

Yeah, they weren't very clear that the dyes are one per shard, not per character. And as QM said, one charge each, which they did NOT tell us in advance. I tell you, to me nothing says "sorry...thanks for being patient with us" like one, single-charge dye of a random color. Wow. I mean, I didn't even have any trouble with the new account system and I feel screwed. Those who have had long, drawn-out nightmare experiences just trying to make their accounts playable again must be livid. If they had just introduced dyes like this as part of a story arch or something it would have been OK. But to use them as an apology gift is like pouring salt in the wound. It's like I totaled your car and then apologized by buying you a 50 cent McDonalds gift certificate.

that makes sense then! Thanks! And I agree, if this was an apology gift, it sure was pretty minimal. But it could have been worse. They could have given everyone a shirt saying "I got pwned by EA and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"
