Hi all,

I'm feeling very overwhelmed with all the new stuff and I was wondering if there are any links that I can go to that show information. I've always been terrible at finding things so I'm reaching out to you all.

For example:
1 - Types of fish and what they do or what they are good for?
2 - embuing ingrediants -- what they are and where to find them?
3 - List of quests and maybe how to complete them?
4 - List of items and what they do (deco, enhance, supply, etc...)
5 - How to type things (pirates, ships, enhance, etc...)

I sure appreciate all the help I already get in game and I thank you all in advance for any help here. I would also be happy to make books for other new players if that would help the guild too.

UOGuide.com rocks for information. just type in charcoal for example and it shows how its made, whats for, etc.

Thanks KD but unfortunately it doesn't have it all.

hmm whats missing? I found one item not described the other day, but it was new to the game since about 4 days ago (and I bet Ive searched 100,000 items on that site to learn things in the last year).

Maybe someone here would be able to answer your questions and update that wiki site.

I thought the same thing at first. Was really frustrated trying to find out the most basic information about new stuff...Follow KDs suggetion and use the search function, makes a huge difference. Also on the home page if you click the All Sections link in the top right area it will expand and show a better breakdown of what all you can find info on...

just an example ... I searched for cannon, and it took me to an entire page of all the components needed to fire a cannon, and to make a cannon. I use that page every time when I have to replenish my pirate hunting stock (powder, fuses, etc).

It's true that sometimes it won't bring an exact match when there's an apostrophe or some such in a word, but I just type in part of the phrase and it lists the pages with that word on them. it also autofills, so if you type the beginning of something and arent sure how its spelled, it will bring up matches as you type the word. That helps a lot.

What it is lacking is in depth tips and tricks, but I've found that most of the pages I have visited at least give enough information to understand the things that I needed to learn about (new additions etc).

That's where Katana's post about pirate hunting fills in the blanks. I found enough on uoguide.com to be dangerous, and picked up a few tricks, but Katana and others that posted here on our forums really helped me to get a deeper understanding of how to pirate hunt (as an example).

If you find an aspect of the game that uoguide or stratics just doesnt cover, then post a question on these PAS forums, and someone will answer.

Another quick example. I wanted to understand more about the new changes to dungeon shame. So I just typed in shame, and it brought up a page that included a link to the new dungeon item drops (or something like that). That link showed me all the new descriptions about the items, which was what I was looking for.

I did use the search option but wasn't finding what I was looking for. I will keep looking through it and post more specific things as I come to them.

My biggest thing is finding items for the museum and where they come from so I can make a book saying so.
