Sorry I've been pretty hard to track down lately. A 120 detective would be hard pressed to find me ingame lately (though it is possible!)
School hit pretty hard, I have about 6 months left in the course to become about 3x as fluent as I've hit in the last 9 months for my language studies. I have 3 major projects due soon, homework from my teaching team, homework from the military language instructor, and somewhere in there I have to actually continue to study new vocab and refresh on uncommonly used grammatical structures.
A normal college gives you about 15 hours of class time, and about 30 hours of homework. I have about double that, on both counts, plus military obligations from the unit on the side.
Long story short, I've been able to log on and grab BODs most days, but that's about it. Occasionally I give a couple hours on the weekend to filling some and/or mining a little.
My apologies for coming back and all but disappearing again, but DLI (Defense Language Institute) is a bit of a once in a lifetime opportunity, and they say you get out of it what you put into it.
I had to make a similar post over on the GTH forums (kudos to you old-timer Sonomans who remember GTH back when they were here) saying why I'd be missing WoW raids and whatnot...lol
My GPA at the moment is 3.2, which isn't stellar, but considering the pace around here that's still considered pretty decent. Yes there are the 1 or 2 people per hundred who have a 3.9 or 4.0, but they're gifted with photographic memory, considering the average intelligence level required to get in the school. I see kids half my age doing 1/4th the work I do and getting near perfect scores on the tests. Not much I can do except keep plugging away.
I really like playing with PAS, and have enjoyed my time back in UO, but I'm sure you have all noticed I've been to a grand total of maybe 3 or 4 events in two months. It's not necessarily due to lack of desire, either.
Anywho, I'm still here, but if you need me the best way to get ahold of me will probably be a PM on the forums here.
