My life has been invaded by Cardboard!

Postby kyra » Wed Mar 28, 2007 6:08 am

I just wanted to let everyone know how sorry I am that I haven't been around much lately to help with things.

I spent a good part of last week packing my belongings into what felt like 12 million cardboard boxes (ok .. I might have exaggerated, maybe it was only 7 million).

I moved Saturday ..... and since then I've been trying to empty 30 million cardboard boxes (yes, I swear they reproduced in the moving van).

One of my most exciting moments was when I actually cleared out enough boxes to see the carpet on the floor! Sighs ... it's a lovely sight.

I finally found my cable modem last night ... so the PC is all setup at last. Unfortunately, there still isn't a lot of playtime yet. I'm determined to somehow clear enough boxes to make a path to the kitchen that won't involve climbing and hurdling.

Oh ... 1 more thing ... if you see any of those box-cutter-razor-thingies laying around ... they're mine. I've lost 2 already, and now I can't find the 3rd one. If I'm lucky it jumped into a cardboard box and is reproducing : )

Anyone need moving boxes?

It was so nice to have arrived. I was packing about 10-15 boxes a day for the last two weeks before I moved.

Yes, the cats loved it at both locations.

Hope all is coming along,
Trent

Hahaha!!!

My wife tells me when she was little her mom spent a hundred dollars on a new toy, she never looked at it twice...but when they got a new washing machine, the box it came in provided weeks of enjoyment.

lol

Cardboard boxes inspire childhood imagination. Funny how something so simple can provide more fun than one of these new toys nowadays.

I've learned to open the boxes with great caution ... twice Tiglet has jumped out like a jack-in-the-box and scared the heck outta me. Someone really needs to get control of that cat.

Ohhh and for those of you who were trying to help me thru the lack-of-coffee crisis Sunday morning ... You'll be glad to know I FOUND THE COFFEEMAKER! Yay ~does the little caffeine rain-dance~. Life is good : )

Oooo ... and did you know that when you can't get a screw to drill thru a piece of metal .... a nail works great? Who knew ... I feel so smart now. lol .. shuddup Tiny. pffft

Oh Kyra you just saved my life :smt041 -- I sure do need boxes, can't find any here anywhere. Please send them to:

My backyard
C/O Littleman Fort
1 1/2 pint size row
Can't Wait, OR 12345

He is so excited :blob7: . Thanks a bunch.

Wild Flower (stress finally relieved - heard of those hours of self satisfied play by himself) :kittyT

PS. Hope my cat stays clear of them after what you said about the surprises :smt031 - I'm old and my heart may not take it. :smt038

It rocked to Paul Simon

I'm listening to Paul Simon's "Diamonds on the Souls of Her Shoes" and the cat seems to like it.

Not to mention "You Can Call Me Al". This cat really likes Paul Simon.
(edit)

*Things we do at work* Thanks for the dancing cat.
