Perhaps you've read in this board's 'Role Players' forum that a character by the name of Sethos is questing for his tenth and final soul with the mistaken belief that it will bring him certain revenge, followed by redemption. Unbeknownst to him, however, this acquistion will instead forever bind his soul to evil's subjugation.
As you may have also read, an attempt was made upon Kaylor's life as he sat minding his own business enjoying a glass of wine at a tavern one evening. Not long after, a shadowy figure shot a flaming arrow through a window of Kaylor's home, the shattered shards spelling out Chalnoth's name and then falling to the ground as a pool of blood.
Of course these two threads are related - Sethos is about to come after Chalnoth's soul - seeking 'one of virtue' as he has been ordered (and tricked into doing).
It is my hope to have Sethos encounter Chalnoth in game over time, on more than one occasion, however it is my ABSOLUTE intent to use ONLY In Character information to find him. While, of course as the player I may know when he's doing a guild hunt or may be at Crafter's, etc., there is NO WAY Sethos could possibly be privy to that information and therefore it will not be used. I want to make this as realistic as possible - no cheating. A true hunt. (and, of course Sethos will not kill Chalnoth in the end

The reason I am posting this is to ask for assistance in game. And, please keep in mind I will only approach those who are willing to play this out. It would be completely against my goal to be In Character and come up to someone who has not agreed/someone who is Out of Character and ask about Chalnoth --- example: "Can you tell me where I might find Lord Chalnoth?" or "Have you any knowledge of where Lord Chalnoth resides?" etc. Would just be wrong on my part.
That said, I'm wondering if I might be able to beg indulgence and assistance of any and all who might be willing to help Chalnoth and I work through this plot. If so, please drop a line or two here or see me in game or PM or ICQ. As I said, I will not approach anyone IC who is not wanting to participate and again I promise Lord Tholl will not be killed, though he might take an arrow on occasion.
ALSO - your char does not have to tell Sethos the truth, is free to tell Chalnoth someone has been asking about him, may even challenge/pvp him (Sethos is GM swords/legendary archer but not the char i use for pvp so alot easier to take down than Kay). I'm up for whatever your char would do in the situation.
Those who rank in guild as Royal Guard and are interested, might also like to take this as opportunity to Role Play becoming alerted to the situation as it begins to play out, increasing guard and even possibly reversing the hunt.
