Is there a setting for me to turn off calendar events in my general feed? I don't play anymore but I do lurk these forums and scrolling through 100 plus calendar notices is a bit of a pain. :)

I'm not aware of that option, but what you can do is flag all posts as read. For example, if you log on, look at how many replies are in the posts (especially if the calendar has been updated recently). Most of the posts with 0 replies are going to be very very new posts or calendar items. Click on anything that isn't an event to read those, and then go back to the main screen (hit the PAS icon), and scroll down a bit on the page, and on the right side between sections there is an option to "Mark all forums read".

That will remove whatever is left from the unread queue.

Not perfect, but it can be useful.
