Thanks for the update. It is very good to know that Maldar is improving and I definitely look forward to the time when he will be back to playing UO.
Indeed the general sections of the forum are open to public viewing, so you are correct in keeping private information off of that part of the site. I'm sure one of the forum moderators or guild officers will be in touch with you to help guide you on how/where/if to post any personal information.
Thank you again for the update. You are one heck of a friend to go to the trouble of keeping us informed; it is appreciated.

Asst. Chief Christopher Hutcheson, I can't thank you enough for updating this post about Maldar. He has many friends here who love him a lot, and we are always wondering how he is doing, and asking about him.
If you would be willing to send me his address in a private message, called a PM, I will promise never to post it, but to give it to those ingame friends I know would like to send him a card. I have been through a difficult health crisis in the past, and I know hearing from my UO friends made a difference. In truth, Maldar has made a huge difference in my life, being my friend, and I would like to be his friend and give him all the warmth and encouragement possible.
If you are willing to send me the address, please send it to me via PM, by clicking the PM slot at the bottom of my post, which will open up a private message post to me, and it will not be visible to the public.
God bless you for being such a great friend to him, and for keeping us informed.

Bob (aka Maldar) has had a setback. He is now septic (septicemia) and is entubated, back on a vent and has fallen into a coma. He is being given a lot of blood transfusions. Needless to say, he will not be moved back to his home state this week, as had been the plan. Things have gone downhill dramatically during the past week or so.
He was given a fistful of get-well cards and a DVD a few days before his fever hit 105.3 which is extremely dangerously high. A fever that high can do brain damage at the very least. The sepsis can easily kill him. So that gives you an idea of just how much more serious this has turned. He did tell his daughter to have me (or her) thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, cards and DVD. She said he had tears rolling down his face as he read the cards and that a couple of you had sent him multiple cards and the DVD. He was clearly very touched that you took time out of your busy lives in order to go out of your ways for him. I don't know if he got to watch the DVD before everything hit the fan but I did see it had been opened when I was reading what it was about. When he comes out of this, I am certain it will inspire him. His daughter told him about two friends of his in this game that have recently died. That was somewhat of a poor thing to have done (kristen, I apologize, if you read this eventually, but we have already talked it out). Bob became extremely emotional and had to be put to sleep via drugs to calm him down as he couldn't breathe from crying so hard. He told his daughter that he loved you guys/gals and he misses playing this game with you. I think it was his escape from the horrors he sees. I don't know what else to say.
Thank you for being his friends,
Asst. Chief Hutcheson
